Just wondering: when I was co-editor I added (from memory) between 105 and 110 titles, and admittedly a fair few of them were of the more obscure or non-commercial short film variety- but so many of them have had no reviews at all other than my own.

I just find it hard to believe that nobody here has seen 'Tale of Tales', 'Street of Crocodiles', 'Hedgehog in the Fog', or 'A Game With Stones'. Someone?

(incidentally someone was asking a long time ago about Jan Svankmajer. The only reason that 'A Game With Stones' was the only thing of his I added wasn't because I thought it was his best film, but because it was one of the few that satisfied Keyframe's criteria of needing to be mostly or all animation. Most of his others have large amounts of live action.)

I saw Hedgehog in the Fog years ago, my memory of it is a little hazy, but I do remember that it was a magical, atmospheric little film.

I've seen my share of obscure shorts as well. I just wish I knew where we can buy DVDs with these shorts on them. And which DVD has what on them.

I've seen all of those except for A Game of Stones. I'll be reviewing them both here and for my own site eventually, but I'll have to do a bit of research first (namely, the book written about Tale of Tales, and the novel that Street of Crocodiles was based on)

By the by, ever seen Dimensions of Dialogue or Darkness, Light, Darkness? Those ones are entirely animation.

There were a couple more I was thinking of adding that were mostly animation, but that must have been just before I relinquished my editorial function.

Actually, looking through the short film index, even some of the better-known films (like the Aardman ones) only have one review each...
