'Cars' gets Golden Globe

Australian TV stations were rather bemused that 'Cars' won the Golden Globe over 'Happy Feet'. George Miller said he figured he had a one in three chance. Suppose he was right. Haven't seen either of them, so no comment,

Cars was a great movie. I'm glad it won. I haven't seen Happy Feet so I can't really judge that.

I've seen both and I personally would've rather seen Happy Feet get it... Cars felt like another Pixar film in what is becoming their formula--not bad, just not particularly original... Happy Feet felt like something a bit different, something that we perhaps haven't seen yet.

I liked all 3 of the nominated films. My preference would have been Happy Feet, then Monster House and then Cars. I think that the Pixar name carries a big impetus with it and that Cars is destined to take the lion's share of award wins this year.
