I was going through some old news and I found this thing from September:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=243216

"Route 66" is the story of Mulligan, a giant golf ball statue on the side of legendary Route 66. When Betty, a giant blueberry who hovers above a produce stand on the other side of the street, is carted off one day, Mulligan steps down off his pedestal and sets off to find the love of his life.

...wow, what a star idea. The world really needed a movie about a giant fibreglass golf ball.

Funny story: Route 66 was the working title for Cars.

Hmm. Cars. . . . The first disappointing Pixar movie?(The not terrible but not stellar A Bug's Life excluded)

Well I think the funniest cartoon on TV at the moment is about a packet of fries, a lump of meat and a thickshake, but if this leads to a spate of anthropomorpising bizarre objects, I could get sick of it pretty quick. Hey maybe they could anthropomorphise abstract concepts. You could have a movie starring a mathematical equation, an emotion, and an ethical principle.

Wasn't The Phantom Tollbooth heading in kind of that direction?

Okay... so this movie's about a pair of big... never mind. It's still another waste of time and money, though.
