I used to love The Smurfs when I was a kid...haven't seen it since the 80's, though, and I remember the series going downhill once they got off the cartoonist's original stories and wrote in extra characters n stuff. Still, how can any series with a classical music soundtrack and Winchell voicing the villain be bad? :love:

Apparently it's going to be "like Lord of the Rings, only more lighthearted".

So, it could end up as anything from Jeff Smith's Bone comics to The Phantom Menace...
