query through email:

Hi, Firstly I think ur site is awesome. You may not have all the cartoons but you do have some basics that other sites are lacking...(character Voices, Year, Country of Origin...)

I'm looking for a cartoon... No idea what it's called and it's killing me. :)

It's a short +-15min cartoon similar to "Sharky and George" in time length.

The Cartoon is about a Polar Bear that got lost somehow and all the episodes are about how he travels around the world in a 'Hot Air Baloon' to find his way home. I think he had a friend that travelled with him. Don't know what type of animal the friend was.

Great Site,
Thx.

This is a wild guess, but you might be getting 'Peter Potamus' conflated with 'Breezly and Sneezly' Breezly was a Polar Bear. His sidekick was Sneezly, a seal. They appeared as part of Hanna Barbera's 'Peter Potamus Show'. PP traveled in a time-travelling hot air balloon. The segments were more like 7 mins not 15, though.

The only thing I can think of at present is the third Little Polar Bear Movie - Little Polar Bear: The Dream of Flying.

Is that the one you are looking for?

The plot of it seems to be the same (Lars the polar bear travels around the world in a hot air balloon, with friend/s along for the ride). If it is anything like the first film, then it would lend itself to editing for TV. saying that there was also two series made: one 13x5 mins, one 13x30 mins (though the 30 minute one could be two 15min episodes).

BTW the DVD is out Oct. 3rd. And that's the only screenshot I could find (not sure if it is from the series or the film).

I know how it feels to be unable to put a name to something you seen; I got some memories of series which I can't quite remember the title for.

And thanks for visiting KFO.
