I just finished watching Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman (http://www.keyframeonline.com/Animation/Batman:_Mystery_of_the_Batwoman/499/) so I could complete the profile and the thing that befuddled me most was not who the identity of Batwoman was... (although that did end up being more interesting than I expected)... but what's with the amazing shrinking Robin? And his name is Tim Drake? I thought Robin's secret identity was Dick Grayson. And Tim looks like he's twelve--and incidently voiced by Eli Marienthal (http://../CastCrew/Eli_Marienthal/1295/) of The Iron Giant (http://../Animation/The_Iron_Giant/125/) fame.


Anyways... who's the new kid?

I don't really keep up with any either the shows or the comics, but I know that in the comics Dick Greyson became Nightwing and was replaced by Jason Todd. Jason died, and was replaced by Tim Drake.

I'm guessing the show's writers decided to skip the Jason Todd stage and go straight to Tim Drake somewhere along the line.

Yes,MonkeyFunk, the writers did skip Jason Todd. Because he was killed off in the comics and the censors are very touchy about killing,especialy a main character.Tim Drake is the current Robin in the comics and the TV show. However, that is Dick Grayson in Teen Titans.

Although I admit I haven't really watched Teen Titans... sitting through the theme song and getting the screencaps yesterday was disturbing enough... but my understanding was there were no 'secret identities' in the show...?

Personally, I don't watch the show either.But Robin seems to be only one wearing a mask in the Teen Titans.

I think TT included hints that Robin was Dick Greyson; stuff like calling his alternate universe self "Nosyerg Kcid".
