Critic Jaime J. Weinman made interesting post her blog about why those great 1990's toons came to an end on the WB.The main reason was basically to get shows aimed far more at kids so the WB can sell toys based on them.

Ah the glory days of animation, until it got run over by the corporate machine; darn advertising. Sounds like they were taking a step back to the eighties world of merchandise led animation.
Here a strange thing, when I had Cartoon Network years ago, the only adverts it seemed intent on ever showing where things like insurance and accident-claim ads; hardly the sort of thing for the kiddies.

Exactly, it sadly all came down to money.

Cartoon Network Probably has different adverts over where you are from what we get here in England; but it has been a few years sine I saw it last.
