Ok guys... anyone here work in flash?
What framerate do you use?
I *for some reason* always seem to work at or below 16 fps....
16,14,12... my magic numbers.
how about you guys?

I've only done one piece of flash character animation... this little snippet (http://athena.adwin.ca/project/animation/47/) that was done for the wedding presentation of a friend of the family... which I'm pretty sure was done at 12fps.
At school... I'm trying to remember what framerate we used on our 2D work... TV/video is 29.97fps--or 30fps... but I know many studios prefer to work at 24fps simply because it divides easier for animators.
btw, off-topic... I'm thinking I might turn the Keyframe mice into the stars of their own Flash animated series... :D

I've used 16-20 fps in most of my flash animations. ^^ And that'd be great to see the keyframe mice animated! :)

I'll admit my brain has been buzzing all weekend with the thought of it... I think it's all this exposure to the Web Animation coming into the site that got me seriously thinking about it.
Oddly enough, an incredible amount of the groundwork for this idea has already been laid... although I didn't even realize at the time I was laying it... years ago I interned with a film director and as part of the internship wrote a premise for a hypothetical animated TV series and based it around the Keyframe mice... essentially an independent studio with a young, green director and a cast/crew of misfits...
Then, a couple years after that, I went to animation school and made up a character pack for my "series" lead for one of my classes--my avatar is one of the images from that--and I also completed a walk cycle (http://athena.adwin.ca/media/animation/64/) with him... as a result I can pretty much draw any of these mice fast asleep, standing on my head if necessary...
I think the mice would transfer well to Flash given that they're such a flat, graphic design... but at the same time I don't quite know where to begin when it comes to Flash... I would know how to do it as straight 2D hand-drawn, as that walk cycle was done... and I generally understand the theory of how Flash characters are created and animated--some of that theory I used to make that Wedding Animation snippet I linked to earlier... it's the marrying of those two ideas... the mice and Flash... that still has me somewhat baffled...
