So I think we've established that there's a lot of upcoming animation that horrifies us to no end... *cough*3D Smurfs?!*cough*... but surely there's animated projects on the coming soon list that give us hope? That still allow us call ourselves animation fans...?
What are you looking forward to this year? next year? the year after...?

Let's see...
-Flushed Away and the other Aardman movies, although I'm also a little concerned - a lot of Aardman's integrity is riding on them.
-The caterpiller movie, Earthsea, or whatever it is Miyazaki's doing next.
-Sylvain Chomet's next movie (actually, I think he has more than one in the works)
-Kirikou 2 (Kirikou and the Animals, I think it was)
-Rogue Farm
And last but not least...
-My own projects :encore:

I thought miyazaki was retiring after Howl?
He said that he'd be retiring after Spirited Away, too. And Princess Mononoke.
Back when I posted that message there were vague rumblings about Miyazaki doing a new movie; that turned out to be a short film, although his son is doing a feature based on the Earthsea books.
