Yay! My two favourite Disney series

Just when I think I've capped off my DVD collection, they bring out another round of must-have stuff... definitely getting Tale Spin and probably Darkwing Duck as well.


oh, and in other merchandising news, I finally tracked down and purchased a Disney Villians mug (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6625658255)... so nifty... I use my other Disney mugs all the time, but this one I'm tempted to just admire on a shelf somewhere.

Hmmm. Talespin vol 1. 27 episodes, and there were 65 in the series. Since 27 doesn't remotely divide into 65, I hope that means vol 2 will have an extra DVD, rather than splitting the remainder across two more sets, or missing out 11 episodes. If they're gonna release it, they've got to make it complete.

And I hope that by August the exchange rate is favourable. I don't know if there is a region 4 release planned - though last time I bought something from Amazon because there was no region 4 release announced, it came out here the same day (I just checked and 'Rescue Rangers' was never released here on DVD, so that might suggest no region 4 for these new ones).

Fortunately I don't remember 'Darkwing Duck', so if I can manage not to be exposed to that, I can save money there.

Hmmm... just realised August 29 is 2 days after my birthday, so that might fix vol 1. That reminds me, I keep meaning to lend my mother my copy of Svankmajer's 'Alice' :)
