animation about flying saucer

I saw a short animated film (narrated) in 1974 or 1975that was about a town visited by a flying saucer at night. Every one who looked at it was destroyed. More specifically, when someone looked up and saw it, their face would melt away. This also happened to all the animals that saw it, and eventually to all that were sleeping and did not see it, and to all animals that did not see it, and everyone else. At the end, it flew toward the narrator, turned sideways to reveal it was only a butterfly flying in the night. Anyways it was something like that... after all it was over 30 years ago.

Has anyone ever seen this short animated film or know where I could see it again (youtube ?)
