Much as I appreciated your reviews for their thoughtfulness, I can't pass this up, since I gave 'Heavy Metal' 1.5 and you, the first other reviewer after all this time, gave it 3.5.

When you say

"If you dont like Heavy Metal, you have no soul.
Period."

I would argue, if you still like Heavy Metal, you have no maturity.

Well, I didn't think much of the film, but being an atheist I'm not too bothered by Danzig's assertion that I have no soul. He's entitled to his unorthodox theological persuasion.

Eh. Whatever. Big boobs and violence =/= a film. But it all depends on what you do with the subject matter.

I like to think I get my soul from a different source. My love of The Fox and the Hound and The Secret of Nimh. Now THOSE are mature films. So there.

BTW. I'm not an athetist. My soul is guaranteed and paid for in blood. But let's stick to animation.

Just to clarify - I was not offended by the statement that someone with a contrary POV had no soul, except to the extent that it was a general purpose insult: I was simply disagreeing with the review, and making a.... secular response to the 'religious' opinion.
