Hey Athena,
Do you have any advice for how to boost a web site's ratings in the search engines? For example, I was just checking out the page info for Keyframe, and noticed these tidbits:

"robots: index, follow"
"revisit: 15 days"

What is the purpose of these? And some others caught my attention, too:

"Author: Athena Cooper"
"Window-target: _top"

How did you make these details? Are they meta tags?

I know I'm not athena, but I hope I can answer some of your questions. Though I don't think anyone really knows the exact criteria for really boosting one's website chances in the search engines.

Firstly, yes these are all standard meta tags.

Robots: index, follow

Allows search engine robots to start on the index page and follow links from there to gather information for google, etc.

Revisit: 15 days

Follow up from the previous meta tag: tells robots to come back in 15 days to scan for new/updated links on the index.

author:

Simply tells you who the author of the source code is, nothing more as far as I know.

window-target:_top

Forces links to display in full browser display on current window, rather than allowing it to be squeezed to fit inside a frame.

Cool...thanks a lot, starlac! That pretty much answers my questions. Although if anyone else has advice on boosting a web site's search ratings, feel free to speak up!
