Ok, has there been ANY marketing of this whatsoever? I've heard nothing, and i've been LOOKING for it,
suddenly I found FERNGULLY the last rainforest at Zellers today, snatched it up and started calling everyone I knew,
This is a real favorite of mine, and I'm so glad to FINALLY have my hands on it!
I haven't watched it since my cassette was eaten in 2002!
EEK! *girly giggles and shtuff*
PS: Features looking good! Not just the movie, has games and "making of" documentation too!

Hmmm... average rating, 3.5 stars. My rating 1.5 stars. I think I better just shutup before my enthusiasm overwhelms the board.

I guess part of the problem is I'm Australian (though I prefer Tasmanian), and have been where the main character is from, and the whole thing is laughably unrealistic (Byron Bay is 'the city'? That must make Sydney a planet). But fair enough; nostalgia.
That film was supposed to be an Australian production BTW, but apparently we couldn't raise the budget. I'm not saying that would have made it any better or worse...

I kinda figured that being from Australia (Tazmania?) would kill some of it for you.
(you mentioned it in your Nightmare Before Christmas review)
But I've never heard of Byron Bay
and even If I had
I don't think it would bother me, because it's sooo trivial.
The fact that they don't have accents doesn't even bother me, and that's a bit more noticeable.
All the same,
I really love that movie (Love a couple of the musical sequences to DEATH!)
Nostalgia does play a part,
But I'd like it anyways.
Killjoy.
