Animated Star Wars movie coming out this August

According to http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/02/11/star-wars-the-clone-wars-is-coming-to-theaters/,
Lucas & company plan on taking the Clone War series that was shown on Cartoon Network and convert it into an feature film. I only saw parts of a couple of episodes so I don't really know whether this is a good thing or not.

Is this gonna be the compiling of the 2D Genny Tartokovosky (sp?) shorts?

If so, this may be something I'll look into...

I saw a few of the episodes and thought they were pretty good. They used to be online at Toonami Jetstream, but I guess they got taken down. It could be worse; anyone remember Droids or Ewoks?

This is actually the first 3 or 4 episodes of a new CG animated series that will also be on Cartoon Network.

Why they didnt actually make a Clone Wars movie, I will never understand.
