If by "new" you mean I'm a mass spamming program which has posted this same message - or a reasonable facsimile of – on various other forums and that while harmless is nevertheless annoying then yes, you are.

You're also banned.

I can't remember how many of these types of thread I deleted, but they still annoy me, other spammers be warned, keyframe has a zero tolerance policy toward spam of all kinds.

I’ve seen a few of these types of spambots. They send out a generic “hello” message like this: most likely to see how subjective a forum is to, well spam. The way its written out, some would be forgiven for thinking it was real.

We also set up a simple request for new users signing on; basically putting something in "animation that I love" became mandatory. Generally most spambots fill in any needed textbox with their username, which is a bit of a giveaway (I’ve seen one or two input their e-mail addresses). Reason being that, if you can’t name one single animated film, series, etc, on a database full of them; something’s up.

Searching for the username across other forums helps to (I give a little benefit of the doubt for linkless threads, least until I see the same message on various other boards by the same username).
