Supposedly, this trailer is going to be shown when the Bee Movie is released next weekend.
The trailer can be seen at:

I guess that we'll have to wait until a real trailer comes out before we will have a better idea of whether this movie is going to be worth seeing or not.

Anyone else tired of seeing voice actors names paraded out like they're the primary ingredient in a quality animated film... when a lot of the time they aren't particularly good at... ya know... voice acting...*sigh* :headbang:
I still remember the movie poster for Shrek (http://www.moviegoods.com/movie_item.asp?path=%2FAssets%2Fproduct%5Fimages%2 F1020%2F&file=140834%2E1020%2EA%2Ejpg)... MYERS, MURPHY, DIAZ, LITHGOW... as if that's really all you need to know in order to want to see that movie...

That seems to be something that Dreamworks (or other films pushed by people associated with Dreamworks) likes to do in its film advertisement. Look how well it worked for Happily N'Ever After or Sharks Tale.

I saw it today when I went to see Bee Movie. The trailer didn't look that good to me to be honest. I dunno, it could turn out okay...

I agree that the teaser trailer does not install me with a desire to see the movie. The teaser is all about Jack Black -- not the movie itself. It seems that Dreamworks animated movies have become side-shows: more about the stars that voice the pictures than about how good the movie itself will be.
And, as far as the Bee Movie goes, it'll be interesting to see what people here think of it after they see it. The reviews on RottenTomatoes haven't given me any reason to want to go see it.

Bee Movie was decent for a Dreamworks movie. Better then Over the Hedge imo.

Just saw "Bee Movie" (pretty bad IMO, but not the reason why I'm writing this), as well as the Kung Fu Panda trailer for the first time.
The entire time I couldn't help but think of the "Skunk Fu" show that lup started this thread (http://www.keyframeonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1688) about, a little while back. Maybe it's just me, but they seem awfully similar.
The idea that the major American animation studios are constantly stealing other animators' ideas and just expanding upon them is of course nothing new. The Lion King and Kimba the White Lion...The Incredibles and Freakazoid, to some extent...not to mention Antz and A Bug's Life, Madagascar and Open Season, Shark Tale and Finding Nemo, Surf's Up and Happy Feet...seems like every time a major 3D animated picture is released, another one with a similar theme comes out within 12 months--and half the time one of them is Dreamworks. (Even in live action. Deep Impact and Armageddon? Come on! And Deep Impact was, surprise, a Dreamworks production!)
But anyway...does anyone else think there's a Skunk Fu / Kung Fu Panda resemblance?

The problem with this copycat notion is that I don't think that we know how much information on future films exists for the various animation/film companies. It's true that Antz & A Bug's Life and Madagascar & The Wild seemed to be very similar films that came out close together. However, with the long lead times needed to make a full-length feature animated film (3 or 4 years or more), it says that these companies need to know what their competitors are working on long in advance. Also, I think that you are seeing similarities in places where few exist (Incredibles/Freakazoid, Shark's Tale/Finding Nemo, Surf's Up/Happy Feet).
Skunk Fu only came out this year and it was produced by a firm in the Netherlands and two companies in Ireland. Could Dreamworks have known about this 3 years ago? Possibly. Since Skunk Fu is being done with Flash for TV, I suspect that their lead time/production time is a lot shorter. Is it a rip-off of Kung Fu Panda? Who knows... Unless someone from a major animation company writes a "tell-all" book about the inner workings of these companies, I don't know whether we'll ever know whether these are coincidences or not.

I checked a lot of sites and it seems that the studio is erasing all the trailers circulating in the web mmhh... anyone knows how to watch it??

maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't Deep Impact premiered before Armaggedon?? Well, who cares... deep Impact was better!!

It's true that it takes a long time to make a feature animated film; but is it too far-fetched to say that the animation companies are, in fact, doing everything they can to find out what their competitors are doing long in advance? I know I would...although I'm not sure I would try to copy them.
Also, I think that you are seeing similarities in places where few exist (Incredibles/Freakazoid, Shark's Tale/Finding Nemo, Surf's Up/Happy Feet).
I'm sure you're right...once I get an idea in my head I'm known to get carried away on occasion.

I definitely agree with that...but sometimes I just can't help but raise an eyebrow.

I think when it comes down to it the question would be more about when production was started on the movies, rather than when it was finished. And Armageddon was totally better! :P

How dare you!!
Well maybe... but I can't accept the fact that the world was save by oil drillers. :eyebrow:

I can't find a copy online now. I guess that the only way you can see it now is to go see the Bee Movie (since I am told that it is one of the previews for the movie).

Guess I have no choice then, sadly the movie opens until next month in my country. :irked:

I wouldn't bother going to a movie just to see a teaser trailer for another movie. You didn't miss much when Paramount pulled the newest teaser trailer off the web. It was just Jack Black acting asinine. The original teaser trailer (which can still be found on line) doesn't look that bad compared to the newer one.
