This is a rough pencil test for an animation i'm working on in which Spot the Cat is trying to bake a cake.

In the first half he tosses three eggs into the air and then proceedes to kick them into the bowl (eggs and bowl not shown yet) and then pulls flour out of the air and rips the bag open.

It's very short, but i'm working on it slowly and surely. I havn't animated anything in almost 2-3 years and so this is kinda a nice refresher for me.

Wow, that's some very impressive animation. Smooth, good timing... generally nicely done! :aok:

Some great work there, and I enjoyed your other videos too, good luck on the rest of the animation.

Spot the Cat tries to bake a cake.

First he tosses three eggs into the air and bounces them into the bowl (both bowl and eggs not drawn yet).

Then he makes flour appear and rips it open, only to get poofed in the face.

He realizes that he needs to get the flour into the bowl or else it's going to flutter to the ground and be ruined, so he tries to waft it with his hands to no avail.

Finally he gets an idea on how to get the flour (also not drawn yet) into the (not drawn) bowl.

*This is an update of what i've gotten done so far. I have yet to animate the flour, the eggs, and the bowl, so he's just pantamiming against nothing right now which might look odd if you don't have those elements. I also think that he gets his 'idea' too soon so i'm going to stretch that out next time and also to fix his second wave which jerks back too suddenly for me...*

This is some great stuff, tom. Well drawn, and with a distinct professional style.

So I have a question: Could you please tell me roughly the process you go through to do a scene like this? For example are you using transparent cells, or digital scans?
