I'm rather excited about the fact that Disney is FINALLY getting back to 2D. :p
I'm also delighted (and apprehensive) about Disney's first black protagonist (about time, too. And no, Mowgli doesn't count.) Jazz era New Orleans sounds like the recipe for some fun to me. Hope it isn't filled with cliches and stereotypes...and that they resist the urge to add rap music.
Another interesting thing that's come to my attention is the upcoming live action/2d film, Enchanted. It apparently has a typical Disney animated beginning, and then the toon characters get transported magically into the real world...where they continue to act like toons.
There's a Trailer here. (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809426456/trailer)
It doesn't look drop-dead funny or anything (actually it does, at 2:45 AM when I'm typing this), but might be a fun watch. No idea if they end up back in Toonland at the end.
A friend of a co-worker is apparently the original writer, so I'll probably go see it.
