I know almost nothing about flash animation, and regardless of how not very good it might be, it's more than I could do. All I can say is keep practising. There's nothing bad about it. It's just extremely simple. Continuing developing expertise in this craft.
And if there was something fundamentally bad about it, I would tell you. I am not backward in being forward.

It was very good for a first try. The ball's expression has me chuckling.

Hi!
I've just joined this forum so I feel a bit silly commenting on your work but since it is your first try I will attempt to give you some pointers for your next go.
DON'T be afraid to make your animation go faster.
I see it all the time with inexperienced animators. Their animations are TOO slow. It's like watching something at half speed (irritating). With cartoony stuff, try speeding up your animation until you can't read the action anymore pull it back a bit and there you have it.
Snap and Hold
It may not be realistic but for some reason it works. When your chararcter moves, make them snap (hyperextend then pull back quickly or ease it in for slower movement) then hold their position for long enough to read the movement (5 or 6 frames minimum at 25 frames a second)
I noticed a shot where your character turns his head. If you had made him turn quicker then hold that position instead of cutting to another shot straight away the audience would have read his action better.
Sorry for the rant but I hope I have pushed you in the right direction. Best of luck.
Keep animating!
