Just thought of putting this subject in its own thread before it starts filling/swamping the "I can't believe you don't have...?! " thread.

So far we have the following possible phrases for the new catergy...

Hybrids
Live - Action Hybrids
Live action/animation
Live action - Animation Hybrids
Live-animation hybrids
Part Live-Action

I myself am quite keen on the last one, as it keeps the site's emphasis on animation somewhat intact.

Yeah, I'm cool with the last one, too.

Okay, it's sounding like "Part Live-Action".

The only reason I have added this yet is that, as Starlac suspected, I need to add a new table to the database for Live-Action Actors so we don't run into problems with the Voice Actors system. It's at the top of my list--damn, this is getting to be a big list.

Alternatively, I can add the new section but you would only be able to add Voice Actors to the "Part Live-Action" profiles until I finish things on my end.

I think that'll be okay for the time being.

Alright, Part Live-Action is now open. I set its Top 5 threshold to 3 reviews just to give it a bit of a kick-start... we can always raise it later.

I think it would be definitely a good idea to try make make sure whatever screen caps we're using in the profile includes the animated portion of the film.

I'm also wondering if we want to move anything out of the other sections... like maybe James and the Giant Peach since that did have a lot of live action in it.

edit: bugger, I'm going to need to change our FAQ at some point... *adds it to the list*

Giant Peach since that did have a lot of live action in it.

Also there was a bit of mixing the two mediums together at the end of Peach (if memory serves me correctly), so it might be better off in the part live-action section.

okay, I'll shift it.

btw editors, don't try to shift profiles yourselves... the images are locked to the animation type that the profile was originally uploaded to, so it takes a bit of tweaking to get them to move correctly.

just tell me if you need something moved and I'll move it.
