Okay, I'm only putting this in the "DTV" section because that's exactly what these films are - Direct to Video. This isn't a protest (although it may sound as such), but I'm just wondering:

Why aren't any of the "Land Before Time" sequels in the database?

Well, I think I know the main reason why, but I really haven't seen any of the other films on here (with much exception to the original classic that started it all).

I know that most of you animation buffs (such as myself) would probably say that they aren't very good and would only be considered as boring wastes of a hour and a half that continues to destroy the original classic film of five very different dino-babies and their problems in the Great Valley. I used to say that too, until I started to watch a couple of the recent ones (For example: "LBT 11 (or 12, I don't remember which one it was): Invasion of the Tinysauruses", as terrible as the title sounds, the conflicts that took place were pretty . . . interesting! Surprise?). I began to like them . . . just a bit more. Sure the voices and the animation is slightly different, but the stories are pretty interesting. The dumbness of most of the songs makes it seem childish, but still, I think about why a team of adults would make these for children in the first place. The series has been around for years now, and I think that we should recognize that although they may not be the best sequels in the world, they are continuing a legacy that began only a short time ago with a young longneck with a big adventure.

(And no, this is not a "LBT needs to die" topic. You can make one of those yourself if you want. XD)

I think up until now it's been a time/interest factor... there are what? 12 of these things out now? And I think for most of the stuff we profile at least one of us has sat down to watch the film and make the screencaps. If it was simply going to be 12 profiles filled with people ranting about how there shouldn't be 12 profiles of LBT sequels, it would be a waste of time for the editors.

However, if we've actually reached the point of someone asking "why aren't these in Keyframe's DB?" then we've reached the point where they ought to be added.

I’ve got the first five sequels thus far (they were going cheap), so I suppose I could start on them; just got to find the courage to sit through them .

hehe, well I'll volunteer to watch and review Happily N'Ever After (http://www.keyframeonline.com/Animation/Happily_N%27Ever_After/307/) so no one else will have to... honestly would rather sit through the worst rated animation film on Rotten Tomatoes than the LBT sequels.

There's also the fact that you be watching one film as opposed to how many I've got to go through :P.

Hehe. I suppose I could offer to watch it 12 times...

At least I'd probably be the only person on here to actually review each LBT sequel . . . (I've watched most of them by now, and I have some positive comments about some of them too . . . OMG?)

I mean, unless you beat me to it, Athena . . . XD
