Anyone else notice that Alice in Wonderland (http://www.keyframeonline.com/Reviews/Alice_in_Wonderland/1/1/)'s review ratings are all over the map? I don't think I've ever seen a profile with as little consensus...

Me neither. I think even Walt himself once tried to apologize for making this movie. It's certainly the most colorful Disney movie, but I think it's the only movie people watch for the secondary characters instead of the lead. Everybody else just doesn't like it. The plot's a little "so what was the point?" but the songs have a certain aristocratic flavor about them, except for everything the mad hatter and march hare does, at which point the movie is just plain nuts.

Edit: I might also add that lupercal's observance on Alice's wretched singing voice is all completely true. -.-
