Hey Nausicaa,

Hi! If I wanted to help run this site, (like, be on the staff). Would I be able to? And, if so, how could I go about it??? :eyebrow:

We have pretty high standards for our editors at Keyframe. They're all people who impressed me with the quality of their reviews--above and beyond talking about what they thought of the animation and often showing their knowledge of history and trivia related to the film. They've demonstrated to me that they're serious writers and researchers--both of which are key parts of the job of being an editor.

We have a four member volunteer staff--myself, Starlac (http://keyframeonline.com/forum/member.php?u=1073), Inkwolf (http://keyframeonline.com/forum/member.php?u=16) and Monkeyfunk (http://keyframeonline.com/forum/member.php?u=1020)--and, for the moment, I think we're pretty comfortable with that. However, now that I know you're interested, I keep a closer eye on the reviews that you're posting.

thanks. :)

Yes, he stepped down, but he'll still be around the site.

Lupercal was the first editor Keyframe ever took on staff and our longest running one to date. It was a real shame to lose him.

You want to share your opinion... that's a good start for any review.

I want people to have my avatars, they just never choose them.

I had to laugh when I read this thread. Well, I didn't HAVE to, but this bloke offered me $120. Nah, really, I actually did laugh.

How to be an editor: the answer is to be completely unlike me, except for nearly everything.

In fact I've resigned twice (at least I think I resigned the first time; It's getting blurry). Athena and I are more like one another than we probably would care to admit. We both get ideas in our heads, we both become intransigent about them, neither of us back down, we both get bloody-minded, and I end up walking away or storming off rather than sticking by her rules, whether they're good rules or not. For this reason it would probably be a silly idea to invite me back, because it would probably just happen again.

Also, I guess I'm not that great a team player. I like to be in charge. This is not my site and I don't deserve to be in charge.

I do regret the absence sometimes ("I wish you would add 'bla bla bla', etc) but ultimately you can have it one way or the other. FWIW I still respect and admire Athena for what she's done and is doing. I'm just Mad Dog, and I don't know what I'm doing half the time.

BTW I know this is a 'stock' avatar, but I think it suits me.

I miss you, Loop.

Thank you. I'm still around. I busted my hand two or three weeks ago, which has slowed me down a bit, And honestly, I don't know why you would miss me. It's not what I would have expected. But thanks.

I always looked up to you-most reviews, second most posts, and an editor! (But, yes, you would sometimes go off in a huff, and on top, you were sometimes bigoted). Even though we kind of got off on the wrong foot, and despite all your faults, I always wanted to be like you, minus the flaws.

I found this animation software called K-toon, have you ever used it and found it good/bad or have any advice on the subject?
:D

'Fraid I can't help you with that one since I've never heard of it. What does it do?

Hang on - when was I bigoted? I may have been opinionated, but I don't think I was ever bigoted.
