I'm making a new thread for just alerting me to any interesting quirks you guys find around the new site... and me giving you the status on whether they've been fixed yet or not:

Issues we know about and are working on:
- Usertitles: Not working yet, but will be soon
- No edit button on forum messages: Personally I hate it when you can't fix typos in forum messages, so this will definitely be fixed soon.
- No avatar info etc. on the messages: Don't worry, we'll get it fixed. You should know that the avatars seem to be updating elsewhere on the site--so if you change your avatar from the default the change is showing up on your reviews, in your profile, etc.

Reported bugs that have now been fixed:
- Everyone's join date is no longer 1969... was there even an Internet in 1969??
- Everyone should now be able to change their birthdays. Incidently if you put in just your month/day, (if you don't want to include your year) you'll still get a little birthday cake on the Calendar.

Let me know if you guys spot anything else.

Can you edit posts that are newer than 30 minutes?

No, I'm afraid there isn't going to be unlimited edit powers. You have to edit your posts within 30 minutes of writing them and then they're locked off. It's supposed to just be for the fixing of typos and such anyways.

ONE guess. :)

Everytime I see it now I'm going to have this mental image of you in that outfit... or possibly Gordon--he did look 'lovely' in that prom dress...

Erk. It seems I can't log in as an admin.

Oh, I think I know why...
Don't use your new password (the one you just changed to go with the new site)... use your old password.

Annnnnd everyone's usertitle is now back to normal... for the newbies please note that advancement of your user title is not done through posts to the forum but with reviews of animation.

Consarnit these stupid bugs. It's still giving me a fatal error everytime I try to update the languages and countries for The Buzz on Maggie.

yea, I'm on it.
I'll add the languages/countries manually until it's fixed.

I don't know if this is fixable, but I've had a couple of occasions now where I begin writing a long reply to somebody's post, and I am logged out sometime during the process of writing. So, when I tell it to post, it tells me I have to log in again. After I log in again, I am basically told that the original thing I was trying to do has been lost. So, everything gets deleted. Even when I go back on the browser to the page where I was writing, the text is gone, because you can't have anything in the text-reply box unless you click a Quick Reply button.

Would it be possible to keep somebody logged in while they're typing, or perhaps make the Quick Reply thing a separate web page instead of an in-page feature? I'm just trying to think of ways to avoid this problem aside from copying everything to your clipboard all the time.

Anyway, that's my issue. Thanks

Okay, I've doubled the time-out option. Let me know if that works any better.

I just got an email from Goten0040 saying that he couldn't post his "I'd like to be part of this contest" message to the contest thread.

Has anyone else had any forum problems of late?

Question for people using Internet Explorer as your browser... have there been any times when you're getting empty 'X's for the news article image and profile highlight image on the main page?

I noticed this was happening at work the other day and I'm wondering if it's the site or some weird setting on my company's firewall.

I've had this sort of thing once or twice, but it's nothing that a refresh can't fix.
