it took me a while to warm up to this show. i wasnt a big fan on the kiddification of many of the key x-men, or of the way that they hung out with the scary grown up wolverine. but the show really hit its stride with a great arc concerning apocalypse. there were a number of liberties taken with the characters. in this show, gambit is evil, rogue is a goth, and nightcrawler is a dork, but the overall themes are true to the x-men spirit. if you want pure adaptation of the comics, try the other x-men show, But for a fresh take with fantastic animation and stories you dont know already, try evolution.

I must admit that weren't interested much in superhero comics before I saw the first SPIDER-MAN live-action-movie. After that I started to buy the Spider-Man comics and later on even the X-Men even though I disliked the movie when I first saw it (and I still don't really like it). It just felt strangly out of place on live action. As a cartoon, the X-Men work much better.
I enjoy X-MEN: EVOLUTION even though I don't think it's a really great show. It's enjoyable but some of the stories are really dull and the animation isn't as top-notch as you might hope it would be. There are scenes where the characters move so clunky that you get the impression that the animators got rid of the inbetweens. But I like the design overall and the interaction between characters like Nightcrawler and Kitty or Rouge and Nightcrawler (yeah, big Nightcrawler fan here) is nice to watch.
Not a show I would do everything for in order not to miss it but watchable nonetheless.

I LOVE this series! I am a hardcore X-men fan and was exited when this show first came on. I must point out that there are a lot of things in this series that have no similarity to the original series or any other series. That gives a reason not to watch it. But if you are patient and let the story roll as a series on its own, and not compare it to the original x-men, then you will love it! Just like i did!

This is another American cartoon. Of course, Xmen, you think it's great.

Stan Lee could be better represented.

This is a wonderful TV show, and I do enjoy it. But, it's sort of straying off the true story. Rogue gone goth? Hold up. Rouge doesn't strike me goth, but that could be just me. Wolverine is wonderfully done, as is Cyclops and Jean Grey. But, Shadowcat is too preppy, and it makes her character too...girly. Nightcrawler is well done. Magneto is good, as is Mystique.

Again, you'll like this is your a new fan to Xmen, but if youre a fan since 1963, not reccommended.
