I loved it when it first premiered, but I got sick of it very quickly. That could be due to the fact that only 13 episodes were produced. It probably is.
Anyway, the series follows our main character Nitz, the everyman, and his best friends: Gimpy, the psychotic sci-fi dork; Rocko, the neanderthal frat boy; and Cal, the guy who gets all the girls, despite the fact that he's got the IQ of a rancid squash. Along for the ride are Kimmy, the sweet but naive object of Nitz's affection, and Jessie, the self proclaimed "sarcastic cool girl who hangs out with dorks".
Nothing cutting edge or revolutionary, but it's alright. My university life isn't quite this crazy, probably because I'm a girl, and I study art history. I'm giving it an extra half star for including songs by Sam Roberts and Sloan. Gotta support Can-rock. ;)

There's something about the juxtaposition between the series clean, almost Disney'ish animation style and the wild, crude and extremely wacky world of campus life that make this show irresistible. I spent a couple years living on campus and although my life in residence wasn't nearly as crazy, it was hilarious seeing all those recognizable characters--the stuffy RA, the pretentious know-it-all, that guy who really just doesn't give a damn. This series effortlessly clicks in and it makes watching it a blast.

Being a bit of a geek myself, I think the character I most enjoyed was Gimpy... Star Wars obsessed, will not leave the comforting electronic haven of his dorm room and so wired that his eyes have a permanent bulge. The scenes with him and all the loveable weirdos at Teckerson Tech were definitely my favourites.

If you haven't seen Undergrads yet, hunt down the DVD as soon as possible.
