A film of surreal amphibian escapades, beautifully animated! It begins with a turtle swimming through a pond, a nature scene with the feel of a Disney classic. in fact, the dialog-less film feels Fantasia-like in many parts. It sticks closely to the book (in a making-of feature, McCartney mentioned that the book's illustrations were practically a storyboard as they were) and nicely brings to life Weisner's soaring frogs.
Heartily recommended, especially to those who are weary of 3D and want to see some beautiful, traditional animation.
