I believe everyone below me has outlined this film pretty well, but I'd still like to get my two cents in. This is an awful film. No one looks to DTV's for quality, but this is just ridiculous. What happened to the depth of the characters from the original, the story, and why, why is there singing? That's pretty much all I have to say on the matter. Don't see this movie, if you enjoyed the original at all.

The only thing I have to say about this is, what the blazes was MGM thinking? I mean, on paper, this seems like a good idea. The story behind it is a somewhat good idea, but the overall presentation really blew it out of the water.

Not only did they completely destroy the legacy that The Secret of NIMH left behind, but they turned this into a pointless musical. Really, were all those horrible songs necessary? I don't think so.

Plus all the older characters were completely screwed up. To name the main ones, Auntie Shrew and Justin who was my favorite from the first NIMH. You can tell MGM didn't do their homework on this and this presentation shows it. The only character I took a liking to (sort of) was Jenny.

If I were you, I'd just go out and find the first NIMH and forget this one ever existed.

Cripes! Why? WHY?

The Secret of NIMH was by far one of the greatest animated movies ever...and to make a sequel..even a D-T-V sequel...is just degrading in itself.

The music was horrible, the plot had no real meaning, and the animation was terribly done. I felt like I was watching some cheaply made Saturday Morning Kids Cartoon show.

Certainly not worth seeing by any means.

I'm usually conservative with my ratings. There are only handful of films which I've ever given 10 out of 10 (Secret of NIMH is one of them), and there is only one which I've ever give 1 out of 10. You've guessed it. This is it. I suppose that means that, in my books anyway, NIMH 2 qualifies as the most disappointing sequel in film history.

You may have heard bad things about this film. Trust me, not only are they true, but whoever said them was probably being generous. The greatest critical writer in the world would be hard pressed to encapsulate this film's awfulness in words.

If you loved the original, please, please spare yourself the trauma of watching this wretched abomination of a movie.

I predict this movie will remain at the bottom of the bottom five for eternity.

To think I spent ten bucks in total on this?!
To tell you the truth: This movie is so bad, it doesn't deserve a review! But I'll be nice and write one anyway.
(I didn't say it would be good, though!)

Yeah, it's bad. Worst than any of the bad DTV sequels that Disney has made!
Animation: Worst than TV cartoons!
Songs: Oy vey! Blah! nuff said . . .
Characters: Awful! The new ones were poorly made and the old ones were developed even worse! Some of them confused me for a sec, by changing on me!
Story: Nothing but crap! C'mon, guys! You can make something better!
Overall: Not worth it! Give it to a little kid who doesn't care about the "little things" that make sequels really good!

That is all!
