The PowerPuff girls are a definite must see action cartoon.

i love this show!

I can't believe this delightful cartoon was first aired during the late 90s and is still going strong. The earlier seasons were probably the best, but the updated animation and character designs of the latest season revitalizes the show. The later seasons also appear to have more variety in writing. However the elements that made this show so endearing from the start are still there. Three adorable girls with different personalities. Wacky plots and witty writing and humor. Cartoony and memorable characters. Parodies of monster movie conventions, superhero conventions, and anime, among other things. And the right dose of sincerity and girl power give this cartoon depth in the right places and keep it from looking like a true parody. Like most cartoons, The Powerpuff Girls has some really rotten episodes. But when it gets good, it gets REALLY good. Naturally not a show for those allergic to wacky humor, but good clean fun for anybody else. And anybody who says it's a girl cartoon or a kiddie show needs to take a closer look at it and see the show's rocking fight scenes and some of its more adult oriented humor.
