Mad Scribbler | Although all 13 episodes were shown here in Canada, I wish more had been produced. I always assumed that what killed it was not showing Native Americans in a good light, or the gun fights, or the Civil War stuff, but the fact that it was a European show that depicted an American heroine. It certainly had a slicker, more stylized, European look to it, and I thought that perhaps Americans weren't crazy about that. Maybe a bit of both killed it. I remember watching one episode that opens with the hanging of a Native American. My mother walked in on that scene, and was shocked that that was shown in an animated series. Nonetheless, I always loved it. It was unconventional, but totally enjoyable. |
