This series is aimed squarely at the youngest demographic, but I still find it quite charming. The series seems to be a mixture of CGI and stop motion. Bottle Top Bill lives with his friend Corky (Corky is a horse, though you could be forgiven for missing this, and then you could be forgiven for wondering why Bill is living with a horse, but nevermind - it works).

Corky and Bill have well developed and distinct personalities, and each episode leads them into some adventure which highlights an unusual animation technique. As they travel into new scenes and meet new characters, the shot is constructed from the ground up, often even while they are watching. As everything is made from 'found objects', they might meet a character who develops from a plastic bottle into a living being before their eyes. Similarly, the landscape evolves from bits of junk into 'realistic' scenery.

Corky herself is based on a soft drink can, and Bill, as his name suggests, is built up from a soda bottle.

The show is an unusual collaboration between Australia and Singapore (I'm assuming the writing and post production was done in Australia and the animation in Singapore), making it Singapore's first animated series (albeit it in collaboration).

Altogether a really good show. The only thing that gets on my nerves a little is Corky and Bill's habit of nearly always using each other's names whenever they speak to each other, but this is a minor compaint, and probably serves some educational function that goes over my head.

Corky is also damnably cute for a head on a spring on top of a softdrink can.

Original, fun and definately recommended for younger kids.
