This was an up-and-down sort of movie for me. I really like the relationship between Chuckie and his father, Chazz and seeing more of that on screen was really nice. Chazz is a geeky sort of guy who is probably not looked upon by the world as being a hugely fabulous success--but we know from how he relates to Chuckie that he is in fact a fantastic father. It's a really special relationship which also made Chuckie's quest for a "Mommy" quite touching.

What I felt didn't fit with the movie--or with the spirit of the original TV series--was the incredible amount of 'toilet-bowl' humour. I suppose you can get away with more in a Phil refer to an airplane vomit bag as Lil's "doggy-bag" was a pretty large turn-off for me. This level of gross-out humour succeded only in tarnishing an otherwise good film... which is a bit of a shame.
