Maybe this wasn't a classic - it's hard to say when you haven't seen it forever - but I am sure it was a hell of a lot better than 'The Mork and Mindy/Laverne and Shirley With The Fonz Show', or various other tripe which Hanna Barbera and Filmation put out in the 70's and 80's. Precious Pupp was actually a favourite of mine as a kid. Riding along with Granny in her hot rod. Ruthlessly foiling ne'er-do-wells and then applying that unfortgettable snigger courtesy of Don Messick. He was a kind of shaggy, anti-hero sort of canine. And just because he lived with a feisty, rich old lady, don't blame him for Millionaire Dogs.

Put it this way; if this came out on DVD along with, say, Hillbilly Bears, and any number of early to mid 60's HB cartoons, I'd probably want it for nostalgia's sake.

If you've never seen it, it probably doesn't matter that you don't know what you've missed. Or does it? Damn. I'm going to have to watch, to find out.

There is an LP of Precious Pupp (see profile), which for some obscure reason I've wanted to buy. But it seems like the sort of thing you should be able to get for $1 at the Salvation Army, so I've resisted the temptation to pay 'collector's' prices for it. I just want to know what the hell is on it!
