I felt this is without a doubt the best pokemon movie of them all. Even its followers can't fully match it in terms of animation, plot, characterization, acting, and epic battles. I won't give away the whole storyline but I will say this: a little girl named Molly has mysteriously lost her parents while researching glyph-like entities and when she gets a big dog for a father she then wishes for a mother, and who should it be to be kidnapped, but Mrs. Ketchum Ash's mother! Now Ash, his friends, pokemon, and a winged fire-breathing hero, must not only rescue his mother and Molly, but try to figure out how to stop the Unown before they cover Greenfield and perhaps the world in ice-like crystal.
