Edit: 2 stars

It's nearly impossible for an adult to write a sensible review of a series aimed at three year-olds. There is nothing here which goes over the toddlers' heads and appeals to adults. It's plain and simply a show which is meant to entertain toddlers, without implanting any nasty ideas in their heads. These are its modest objectives and it achieves them just fine.

Poco is a human with some animal friends, and he wanders about, being talked to and about, by the narrator. Yes, it is the sort of thing that 'Pib and Pog' lampoons, but this the real deal.

I am not three years old. I don't think I even remember being three years old. It's hard for me to say what this show has going for it, or what it doesn't. Save, perhaps, that I suspect it achieves its goals.

Should I give it four stars, then? I don't know. We should get a bunch of three year-olds on here to review it. I will just say that it is not offensive, not sickeningly sweet, and I can see how it would appeal to a very, very young audience.

Can I give it 4 stars? Well... if I can be ruthlessly blunt, it probably isn't that hard to make shows that appeal to toddlers. It does its job, but it doesn't try, or need, to do anything else. For what it is, it's probably as good as anything else.
