Loved it, very cool and very dark animated fantasy from Filmation and a vast improvement over their previous animations. I remembered seeing this movie back in 1987 on Christmas night when i was 5, it scared the living hell out of me even with that absolutely horrifying moment where Pinocchio is tortured and changing back into a puppet from Puppetino. The Emperor himself is an outstanding villain and the animation here is very good, there is a few good songs like the hip "You're a Star" and the haunting "Love is the light inside your heart".

I recommend this one if you like cult animated movies.
