This series starts out in the lower caste of web animation; terrible quality in both visuals and plot. However, it improves exponentially with each episode, and I strongly recommend watching it on account of the latest four or five episodes. The music is very professional and many of the background paintings are exceptional. The quality of animation (toward the most recent episodes) borders on cinematic. The story is a little cliché and the villain is both evil and insane, but there are many unrevealed secrets about the boy ninja, his past, and his apparent quest to vanquish people he perceives as "demons."

Although, I will say the boy's voice drives me up the wall. It's an unemotional monotone that just really annoys me after a while, especially after hearing him say "little bird" for the fiftieth time. But that aside, check this one out!

Despite the fact that Ninjai is your usual fantasy story with a sense of mix ideas and not much of originality (good vs evil, amnesia-character fantasy oriental world) or even identity, this extremely well developed series by Atom Films (The Critic) managed to hold by his amazing mix of action and visual style.
The series look oustanding using based sepia colors and deep photography (fast camara angles and close ups, the feeling is impressive and sometimes you feel almost like if you were in an "oriental" painting) that sometimes even achieves TV or cinema level. The fact that the characters are so simplistic (the evil sadistic guy, the hero with no memory and so on) mosly makes that series flow better, never trying to be pretentious end esentially being what it is: an action series, and a good one for sakes (especially considering the amount of crap in web animation this days).

Still, it has his problems as a whole: neverending story arcs, pointless episodes, and ridiculous ideas (a birdy friend?) and also iit reachs such levels of extreme violence that is grotesque(did you get? violence and birdy friends?); but is such a great series, and one of those that you have to let it go...and enjoy the ride.
