Just like the past two reviews I to enjoyed this series as a little girl. As a grown up I find this series enjoyable but kinda annoying with all the animation goofs such as ponies changing colours or even growing wings when they shouldnt have.

Story wise MLP can be stupid such as princess ponies fighting over who should be queen but then at the end of the episode they decide to take turns so the morals are there.
Music well MLP is full of it with characters bursting into song at the drop of a hat.

All in all not a bad series or a bad way to sell toys but even as a little girl I was jealous of boys getting He-man and M.A.S.K

I could probably count what's inherently wrong with this show and run out of fingers and toes. Animation mistakes. Moments where one character is talking and another's lips are moving. Changes in color. Grating and awful songs. Dumb-as-bricks villains. Probably the biggest marketing ploy before Pokemon came along. Yep. It's all here. It's probably worthy to note that the plots sometimes don't make all that much sense either. Somehow, despite all this, the cartoon remains enjoyable to watch. Especially given its rather limited audience. I know it's targeted towards rather small girls(or the girls of the 80s for those who didn't grow up), but the characters are funny, the lessons are charming, and in its own sugary way it can sometimes get exciting as well. Besides. The young kids have got to have something to watch that won't upset them and that doesn't involve tuning into Playhouse Disney or PBS Kids or worse yet, Barney.
