The top quality on series in the entire programming in Nickelodeon can be summed in these three series: Avatar, Danny Phantom and My Life as a Teenage Robot. The rest as we know, shows the sucess of all time hit monsters as All Grown Up and Sponge Bob in almost every kid.
This series is possibly the most underrated show on Nick: it's concept may seem simple and unoriginal, but with time becomes his most solid element. In contrast to Danny Phantom, that is really a series about a teen crimefighter, here we have a girl robot knowing how hard "is to be a teenager".
The design of the series is amazing, from the characters to the animation style. Higly original.
Either way, I always have found this the most underrated series on this channel, the prove it lasted barely two seasons and as usual a couple of chapters were left canned.
Strangely I found this one of the few american (and from Nickelodeon as well)series, that has remained consistent at least from his short broadcast time: great comedy, characters, animation, villains and chapters (I never find one bad chapter, just a few better than others).
RATE: 3.5 Stars. So underrated, my second top show on Nick after Avatar, give it a try specially if you catch the last season broadcasted (is still on air in the US??)

What is up with the whiney, hormonal robot?

Its okay, but I think the plot and storylines are pretty lukewarm. Characters are okay. And I find the robot/human crush thing to be a bit creepy. But, must say that the humor is actually very witty and extremely humorous.

Other than that, its just another crime fighting girl series. Half the episodes are interesting, but the other half bore me, so I will give it an average score.

The list of good new shows just keeps rolling out, but it's surprising that many of them seem to come from Nickeledeon, that land of cartoons with humor just too weird for my tastes. Yes, Nickfans will always have their Spongebob Squarepants, that oddity that seems to gobble up ratings like nobody's business. But there's much more to cartoons than Spongebob. My Life As A Teenage Robot was one of those shows that just snuck in from left field to wow a crowd. It probably won't achieve the success or even the number of episodes as Spongebob or The Powerpuff Girls. It's certainly nowhere near as profound as Avatar. But you should really pay attention to certain episodes just to see how witty the writing can be and how different the humor sometimes gets. A lot of it is really gut-busting funny. There's also a sort of sweet "tiny outcast hero" theme going. The animation is also top notch, with a bright, attractive character design, and brilliantly fluid animation when Jenny transforms to adapt to the situation. Overall, this is a gem that deserves a lot more attention.
