Muppet Babies was before Tiny Toons, before Rugrats, before Animaniacs, before the Disney Afternoon. It was an imaginative series, which used cuts from actual movies--especially Spielberg and Lucas movies--to show the imaginary adventures of a bunch of toddler muppets.
Who can forget Kermit as Indiana Frog? Or the kids imagining that their new babysitter would be Darth Vader?
While it's primarily aimed at very young kids, the show has its own mild, slow-paced charm, and parents can watch it with their children, if not with full enjoyment, at least without the nausea and cramps that Barney or the Teletubbies would induce.
