The more I watch this show, the more I like it. The animation and music are jaw-dropping, almost feature film quality. The show possesses a great sense of imagination. The people live like they did in the medieval ages, but you've got flying machines and islands that float in the sky. The dragons are all different and not how you would expect dragons would look like. But they are still scary and act like monsters. Even though the show is French, it sometimes seems like it dips into anime influences, especially with the facial expressions and people doing wire-fu. The show really isn't so action packed and dramatic like Avatar: The Last Airbender and it's not gut-busting funny like a true comedy, but the characters are well-realized and have great designs, and overall the show has a very nice feel. And even though they always manage to slay the dragon at the end of each episode, there's almost always something that goes wrong that keeps them from getting paid. And the theme song done by The Cure? That rocks in my book.
