The original "Dragon Ball" is something defeinetly worth watching, unlike it's predecessors. What made Dragonball shine above it's later incarnations was it's humor and it's encentric cast of characters, you had everything this show from a preverted shape shifting pig to a talking martial-arts expert cat. Another thing funny about the show was Goku's ignornace of the world, there was one humrous example of this when Goku learned about the difference between boys and girls.Even though the show started showing signs of it's awful incarnations, bascially when Goku got older and the show became more serious, the show stayed solid for a good while.

To every classic story, there has to be a beginning . . . .

And this is the prequel of the popular Dragonball Z series, in all of its fighting, comedic, and sometimes perverse glory.

Dragonball tells of a young boy named Son Goku (who happens to have a monkey's tail) and his adventures with a young girl named Bulma to search for the magical Dragon Balls.

I will admit, I like Dragonball more than DBZ, mainly because of the nice mix of humor, fighting, and an interesting story (that's loosely based on the story, "The Legend of the Monkey King"). The manga is just as entertaining as the anime, so check this out as well.

Dragonball gets a perfect 4 stars, for its creativity and fun that it has to offer. If DBZ is too slow for you, check out the series of how it all began.
