I was shocked and surprised by the negative reviews I saw on the web, I thought Cinderella 2 (as well as 3) is a very cute and funny sequel for everyone - kids and adults (like me, I am 22 years old).

I also find it and very informative film, it shows lessons on being true to yourself and following your heart; and also I thought it has great animation, and the voice casting was very good; and also the songs performed by Brooke Allison are good too. Since this film has been divided into three flashbacks/stories, my favorite out of the three, is the story of when Jaq the mouse, became a human for a day, thanks to Fairy Godmother.

Uhhhhh...lets see... 3 different stories that aren't really interesting, unless you are 4. Cinderella isn't even the same person... The evil stepsisters got nice all of a sudden and the mice are...unbearable. Yeah, just another day with a Disney DTV.

*sigh* This sequel depressed me.

Cinderella 2 takes place after Cinderella becomes a princess (by marriage, of course), and her rodent friends decide to make a book of stories as a gift. (yes, who makes a book with only three crap-tacular stories?)

The stories mainly deal with being yourself instead of trying to be someone you are not (Oy vey, this may spoil it for you, but meh: first the one with Cinderella's whole "acting like a princess" thing, then something with one of Cindy's stepsisters falling in love, and finally one of the mice becomes a human so that he can be more useful for his friend, Cinderella), but they're really horribly told. The songs suck (typical DTV quality), and the voices aren't that bad, but annoying.

Sadly, the animation is not exactly true to the original, but it's still quite bright and charming. But the story will make you go to sleep, forgetting everything you just watched. But it could have been so much better.

Overall, this is one of the weakest Disney DTVs yet. Perfect for little girls that dream of life as a "princess" (Good luck with that.), but this is a snoozer for everyone else (strange, I didn't fall asleep during the film; in the end, I only wanted my hour and a half back).

One and a half stars.

how can you have a movie so good and a sequel so horrible? Cinderella is supposed to already know how to be a princess! and the evil stepsisters are supposed to stay evil and become Cinderella's servants. that's how the original story was written! i think that if disney ever does a sequel to a movie made 40 years ago, they should go back and review the plot! the sisters hate cinderella after she marries the prince! and how in the world do the mice get to the palace? you just can't make a sequel to a classic that doesn't follow the story line!

I could begin this review by simply declaring that Cinderella 2 is not a particularly good movie but that would be deceptive. The truth is, it doesn't feel like a movie at all... more like the first three episodes of the Cinderella saturday morning cartoon series--ready to take its place alongside Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Disney's Hercules and the Legend of Tarzan. Splitting the 90min running time into three tales that the mice tell immediately lowered my expectations as I watched this film--in the same way that you don't expect a 30min TV cartoon to 'wow' you in the same way that a feature length film should... and I found myself less annoyed by the fact that it didn't 'wow' me--at all.

The animation was TV quality. The storylines were TV quality. The voices were close but not perfect--but this is just a TV cartoon, so what do I care, right?

All in all, bland as baby pablum. Won't offend anyone but certainly won't captivate them either.
