Yeah, all the previous reviews are pretty spot on.

Maybe enjoyable to some, but there is really nothing special about it. Give it a miss.

*sigh*

Here's all I can say to summarize this show: Put three talking cats (that really don't look much like cats) in a large mansion with a butler and a girl and BOOM! You have Catscratch.

Wait! Did we mention these cats now have lots of money and the plotlines are pointless and make no sense at all?

And that it's on Nick?

Yeah. I can handle this only for so long, but it's really not a memorable show. Funny? To a point, yes. Horribly stupid? Absolutely.

For some reason, Catscratch reminds me of the Disney film "The Aristocats" . . . the basic plot with cats inheriting their rich owner's fortune is similar, but these felines are more like Scat Cat's band . . . only stupider. Nick, Nick, Nick . . . you can do so much better!

It's worth maybe one episode, but probably no more than that.

2 stars.

When I first saw the main characters, and before I knew the name of the show, I didn't realise the cats were cats because they are so mishapen. The animation is blah and the storylines are overused. A good show to pass up.

Nickelodeon is more used to cartoons like this. Avatar: The Last Airbender is just one, lone, remarkable exception to their typical fare. Everything else is more like Catscratch. Which isn't to say that Catstratch is an unwatchable cartoon. Compared to the stuff from 4Kids, this show is decent and humorous. But the golden era for Nick, with shows like Rocko's Modern Life, is already over. Everything this show does has already been done before, and far better. It's simply a matter of seeing how many different stupid situations the characters' egos get themselves in. It seems, then, that Nick only has three powerhouses in Avatar, Danny Phantom, and Spongebob. But I guess that's more than enough for this day and age. Especially since Avatar is pure animation gold and the stuff on 4Kids and Cartoon Network is getting increasingly drippy.
