I watched this show a few times quite a while ago and it's nowhere near as good as the original Batman. The new villains were kind of lame, I didn't really like the new Batman...I forget what his name was, and the show just lacked something the first had. I don't remember the animation much but I don't think it was too bad. The quality of it was at least as good as the first Batman series.
I'd suggest staying away from this one and watch the original series instead, it's much better.

To me, this is an abomination. The only reason anyone would see this series is because it has the name "Batman" on it. Don't get me wrong, you may find it mildly enterteining, but I am still upset that they used the Batman franchise as an excuse to create this series. The new enemies are horrible, the old ones are absent. The protagonist's name is Batman, but it's not the real Batman to me.

This show is essentially a sequel to Batman: The Animated Series set 40 years in the future. At first it takes a while to accept Terry as Batman, but by the end of the show, he is Batman. The first season was masterful, featuring the return of a couple foes from the original including Mr Freeze and Bane. For the most part though, there is a new cast of baddies icluding Blight, Inque, Spellbinder, the Royal Flush Gang, and Shriek. Season 2 lags a bit, but season 3 finishes strong with an episode featuring the futur Justice League and Superman. Its amazing how good the show turned out, and how true to Batman this show turned out based on a premise that could have been a disaster.

If you like this show, also check out the DTV Return of the Joker, it is one of the best Batman's stroies on film. Also, be advised that the episode Epilogue of the series Justice League Unlimited serves as Batman Beyond's true finale.
