Well, I must be a weirdo. I enjoyed this sequel, even though the animation was weak. I thought everything else about "King of Thieves" was good . . . for a DTV sequel.

The characters, especially the addition of new ones, was great. The voices were well done (as we welcome back Robin Williams as the voice of Genie after his absence from "Return of Jafar". YAY.), and all the the main characters returned yet again for the final film in the Aladdin trilogy. The songs was good; my favorite was "Out of Thin Air" . . . beautiful, yes. The other songs set the mood, except the "40 Thieves" song was humorously scary. *shudder*

I think this was a perfect ending to the Aladdin series (other than the TV series, but that's another story), hoping that Disney won't make Aladdin and Jasmine have babies and do a repeat sequel of Lady and the Tramp 2, if you know what I mean. They got married, everyone's happy, the end. Aladdin and Disney fans, watch this movie!

I give it . . . . 3 stars.

I personally was a little skeptical at first, but after watching it, I was pleased. The story was nicely done, but my favorite part was the end that connects it to the first movie. Plus, getting Robin back as Genie is always a plus. I would gladly buy this on dvd if I had the money.

I'd heard this second sequel to Aladdin was better than the first sequel (Return Of Jafar), so I decided to give it a try. I was still disappointed, though my expectations weren't terribly high. Despite Robin Williams being back this time as the Genie's voice, he offered little humour, the songs were unnecessary and not very memorable (as one might expect) and the animation was only barely better than that of the first sequel. For hardcore fans it offers some interesting character background, I suppose, but overall, not really worth it.

This one is a lot better than Return of Jafar, but doesn't hold a candle to the original Aladdin. Had Disney alotted a larger budget for this film, it could have been great. The story was interesting and could have made for a great sequal, but it was not to be.
The major downfalls for this film were the horrible animation and songs.
Most of the songs do not contribute a thing towards the story and if they'd been taken out no one would have missed much would have been missed.
The new characters were interesting enough, I liked how they brought in Aladdin's father. Although they could have worked on fleshing out the characters a bit more. The voice cast was good, Robin Williams made it back for this one. Maybe that's where most of the budget for this one went.
This film had some potential, and if you're a fan of the Aladdin tv series it'd probably make a good rental.
