It's amazing how this show goes to teach us once again that appearances are not important.
I saw this show by accident in Cartoon Network, waiting for Adult Swim to start..and it rocked my world. I just couldn't believe my eyes. This cartoon doesn't fall in the old "intended-for-teenagers-but-too-cheesy-for-them". As a teenager myself I couldn't be happier with a show like this.
The arguments are real and the jokes are the same ones we do with our friends on a late nite sleep-over.

We have the possibility to identify with any of the 6 main caracters and follow their stories eagerly.

The sitcom structure is very well written, Seinfeld style (each of the caracters start with a story of their own and in the end all the strories end up mixing with each other).

I really recomend this show, you won't regret it.

When I first saw the ads for this show on Teletoon, (the Canadian cartoon network), I quickly dismissed it as another of those "meant to be hip straight out of the box" TV series... sort of like those pre-made pop music stars that are sculpted more by music execs than the artists themselves... there's a slickness about the look and design that I think might make people dismiss it in that way.

And yet, after catching a couple episodes, I was surprised to find that it's a genuinely enjoyable little animated sitcom. Since the show entirely takes place in the mega-mall with little to no reference to high school, the characters feel a little more like young twenty-somethings... facing their first jobs and their first experiences with the world of employment... their first boyfriends/girlfriends... little squabbles and competitive bets between the friends... and, of course, the general wackiness that exists within mall culture.

The main characters are all quirky with more depth to their relationships than you would expect. The writing is good and even the slightly limited animation has a quality that fits well with the mall environment overall.

I don't know if this one is airing outside of Canada, (I noticed you can't get the DVDs except on Amazon.ca), but if you have the opportunity, it's worth checking out.
