Ok first things first this is a more suitable Watership Down for children than the book or the film.

They completly watered it down. They changed Blackberry into a doe just to be policticly correct, Which I think ruins the point of them going to Efrafa in the first place.

Animation wise this is a mixed bag because it completly changes in series 2 to a more darker and yet simpler design.

Though it was nice to hear Bright Eyes again Stephen Gatley cant sing it as well as Art Garfunkel.

Storywise this might be a bit confusing to new Watership Down fans as even in the first episode they are already on their journey with no real explanation as to why they left Sandleford Warren.

I like some of the charector designs but now Bigwig has a mane instead of just his mop of fur. Also what was the point of adding Hannah except to add another female to this series.

It was a lovely touch to have John Hurt and Richard Briars back but the others were about average and when series two came out everything changed even the voice actors.

All in all this isnt a bad series in its own right but I prefer the dark themes of the book.
