While the first care bears movie was cheesy, but surprisingly not that bad, this one is not nearly as good. First of all, continuity is thrown out the window as the care bears and cousins knew each other all along. Also, there are new multi-colored bears that are pretty lame. Actually one of them looks like "mullet-bear" but is actually a freaky looking horse. Again, the songs grow on you, but they arent as good this time around.

As for the villain Dark Heart, why does he fall in love with a kid, and how do the care bears grow up from cute little diaper wearers during the course of the movie while the kids are away at summer camp?

This is a pretty obvious attempt to cash in on the first films success, without wanting to actually invest in developing a new story or employing better animates. Unless you are watching this with a toddler, it really isnt worth watching.
